superstylishsquid: (Uhhh...er...)
Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name?

My name's Alastor. I don't have a last name, but some people call me the Blademaster.

2. Where and when were you born?

I was born in the demon world, almost two-thousand three-hundred years ago. You...uh...don't want the details.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)

A pair of elemental demons. My father controlled territory in the demon world and my mother was part of his harem. That should tell you enough about them.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

Who knows, I've been out of touch for over two-thousand years.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.

I'm...sort of nomadic right now. I used to live in an old style mansion, but I haven't been there since I left Jadow.

6. What is your occupation?

That's...a complicated question. I used to be a career villain, but I quit that a little while back. I guess you could say I'm between employment?

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.

I'm a little on the tall side, fair skin with a faint purple tinge. I have black eyes, but they're usually covered by my horned purple helmet and red visor. I'm in good shape, or else I wouldn't be able to get away with wearing tight purple spandex under my breastplate. I tend to wear gloves over my claws and tall boots. Oh, yeah, and there's the black leathery wings and demonic tail. Those probably qualify as distinguishing marks.

8. To which social class do you belong?

Upper class, I guess?

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

Holy weapons really hurt and my wings are a bit on the delicate side.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?

Ambidextrous, actually.

11. What does your voice sound like?

A bit deep, but not gruff. Personally, I think I sound pretty smooth and cool.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?

I don't think I have any. What do I look like, a broken record?

13. What do you have in your pockets?

Well...I don't actually have pockets in this outfit. But if we're counting my storage spell, I have my diary, a pen, ink, the clothes I wear in my human form and...uh...a photo from that time Sprocket forced me to pretend I was trying to marry Silvia. What? I liked the suit.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

I have a competitive nature and enjoy fighting. I also enjoy making witty comments about other people's moments of incompetence. I've been told I have a tendency to be sarcastic and irritating by certain people who lack senses of humor.

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?

Pretty typical for a demon.

16. What is your earliest memory?

Challenging my father for my independence.

17. How much schooling have you had?

They don't exactly have that in the demon world.

18. Did you enjoy school?

See previous statement.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?

Oh, here and there. I'm pretty sure I learned some of it from my parents, but most of it was from the school of hard knocks or my own personal research.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.

This is a little bit embarrassing, but...Sparda. He was a famous swordsman who fought with honor and nobility but still managed to make a name for himself against opponents who wouldn't hesitate to resort to trickery or other dishonorable methods. That's all I really knew about him at the time, but I knew that's the kind of warrior I wanted to become.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

They viewed me as a failure for my beliefs in honor and mercy. Obviously not the best family life.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A noble dark knight.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?

I enjoyed practicing my swordplay and magic. Which is good, considering demonic children don't have the opportunity to do much beyond prepare to make sure they'll be able to survive if their parents decide they don't have any more use for them.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?

Honestly, I was kind of rambunctious. I had my own idea of how things should be and I wasn't afraid to argue my point.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?

I was an outcast. A few other demons tried to kill me for my 'weak' ideals, but they didn't last long against my lightning.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?

I...uh...haven't had it yet.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?

Um...yeah.

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.

I was born a demon and I don't actually remember how I discovered that I had a talent for weather magic.

Part 3: Past Influences

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Refusing Mundus' call to arms to invade the human world.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?

I'm not really sure. I've always been a bit set in my ways.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Helping Dante strike down Mundus, even if I was only lending him my power.

32. What is your greatest regret?

Letting myself get carried away and putting two actually respectable people in danger while fighting my rival.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

What kind of question is that? I'm an ex-villain, it's going to take forever to choose. Um...hmm. There's...not actually as much competition as I thought. I guess stabbing Dante in the chest in an attempt to establish a sort of dominance over him?

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?

That would require me actually getting arrested. Seeing as I've only been defeated once and wasn't actually taken into custody then, it's highly unlikely.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?

The moment I realized Mundus' goons had me outclassed.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?

Some kid getting it into his head that I was a hero and comparing me to Captain Blue.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?

I would have kept a better handle on myself the last time I fought Viewtiful Joe. Maybe if I hadn't put Silvia's life at risk, I would have been allowed to finish my fight.

38. What is your best memory?

Um...it's...actually kind of personal. I'd rather not talk about it.

39. What is your worst memory?

Does spending two-thousand years trapped in the form of a sword on an island in the middle of nowhere count as a single memory?

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?

I like to see the glass as half full.

41. What is your greatest fear?

That I'll never get the chance to have a proper duel with Viewtiful Joe.

42. What are your religious views?

You're asking this of a guy who was born in Hell and has met fallen angels. Of course I believe in the Abrahamic God.

43. What are your political views?

Couldn't care less, really. What the humans do with their government is none of my concern.

44. What are your views on sex?

Uh...well...ahem...it's a...personal matter.

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?

You kill your enemies so they're out of your hair and can't kill you when your guard is down. You don't kill someone when you don't have anything to be at odds over, no matter how much they irritate you.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?

Can I just point to Sprocket for this?

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

Um...kind of...yeah.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?

Leaving behind a reputation you can be proud of.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?

I can be pretty blunt most of the time, but there are occasions when I keep my thoughts to myself. Mostly so I don't get in trouble for any plans that might go against my allies' wishes, but sometimes because I don't entirely understand why I think the things I do.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?

Gotta say I'm not too fond of bats. Other than that, I try to keep an open mind.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?

I won't break promises or turn my back on a debt. I'm a man of honor and I pride myself on my reliability.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

I've put myself in some pretty rocky situations to keep my rival alive and to repay a debt to someone who saved my life.

Part 5: Relationships With Others

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?

I treat people with the respect they deserve.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?

Viewtiful Joe. He's my rival...defeating him is my major goal in life.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?

Captain Blue Jr. He puts up with Viewtiful Joe's idiocy on a daily basis and somehow manages to stay sane, despite actually having a working brain of his own.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.

I don't have any friends.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.

Nope.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.

Uh...that's...something I'd rather not talk about.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?

Again, a little bit personal.

60. How close are you to your family?

You could call us estranged.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?

I've...never really thought about it. Maybe? I dunno.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?

I guess Viewtiful Joe? He's an utter moron, but he means well ad doesn't seen to have any ill will toward me. I'd have to be pretty desperate to turn to anyone, though.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?

I don't need anyone to protect me, I can take care of myself.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?

I dunno...Joe might miss me hauling his butt out of the fryer when he nearly gets himself killed?

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?

Mundus. If I listed all the reasons I can't stand him, we'd be here all day.

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?

I don't lower myself to arguing with idiots, but I'm not above a confrontation with someone whose argument isn't Swiss cheese.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?

I guess you could say that. I'm not really much of a follower in general.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?

I'd have to say that depends. I can handle any number of people as long as they're reasonably intelligent.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

I like to keep up my image, but I wouldn't call myself insecure. Worrying is for people who aren't confident that they can back up what they say.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?

Fighting, especially against opponents in my weight class.

71. What is your most treasured possession?

My blade...which also happens to be an extension of my soul.

72. What is your favorite color?

...You really can't tell? I'd give a sarcastic answer, but I don't want it to be taken seriously. It's purple.

73. What is your favorite food?

Chocolate cake.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read?

Adventure novels, history books and tomes of magic.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?

A good fight...I enjoy a decent comedy, too.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?

I don't touch any of that stuff. My old master was a drunk and I'd rather not humiliate myself like that.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?

I don't really have 'typical' nights. I just...do whatever needs to be done and pass the extra time however I feel like.

78. What makes you laugh?

I can usually get a good laugh out of idiots making fools of themselves.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?

I grew up in Hell. I really don't think much can phase me.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?

Find someone who's annoyed me and start up a thunderstorm to wake them up. Misery loves company.

81. How do you deal with stress?

Writing in my diary tends to calm me down. So does whipping up a good storm.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?

I like to be unpredictable sometimes.

83. What are your pet peeves?

Being told I'm nice by people who have no clue what they're talking about and having my plans messed up by clueless idiots.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?

My life's too unpredictable for a real routine.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?

My ability to keep above most things. It's not easy to scare me or catch me off guard with a surprise.

86. What is your greatest weakness?

I could probably stand to work on my temper.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Why would I want to change anything? Well...maybe the fact that I'm too kind for a demon. That's what got me locked away for a couple millenia in the first place.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

I'm fairly social.

89. Are you generally organized or messy?

I keep an organized mess. It might look random, but I know where everything is.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.

I'm good at swordsmanship, magic and actually noticing things. I'm...not so good at accepting help, keeping my temper or hiding my thoughts.

91. Do you like yourself?

Of course. What's not to like?

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons…)

I was sealed away two-thousand years ago because I was weak in both body and heart. If I can defeat a true hero, someone of significant power and a symbol of hope and security for humanity, then it means I've also defeated those shortcomings and become a demon worthy of respect. I don't actually bother to tell anyone those reasons unless they ask, usually they're content knowing I want to defeat a hero.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?

Defeating Viewtiful Joe.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I'm not really sure...I might go back to the real world by then.

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?

In an honorable duel against an opponent worthy of respect.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.

Demand a duel with Viewtiful Joe, put my diary somewhere safe and make sure my old master knows what I've been up to and why I left.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?

My skill as a warrior.

98. What three words best describe your personality?

Confident, smooth and cheerful.

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?

Cocky, obnoxious and strange. I can't blame them for that last part, I don't tend to fit into expected patterns.
superstylishsquid: (Is that supposed to impress me?)
I hate to admit it, but I'm lucky to be writing this. My body gave out on the outskirts of a small town and I might not have made it if a local woman hadn't found me and tended to my wounds. She gave me a room to stay in while I recover and as much as I hate being bedridden, I don't even have the strength to stand. I'm getting sick of how weak this human form is, but it shouldn't be long until I have my real one back. There's supposed to be an eclipse soon, according to some rumors I heard. I wonder if she'll regret helping me when she sees my true form?
