superstylishsquid: (Sorry but you're not funny.)
I finally got my rematch with Viewtiful Joe, but it didn't turn out at all like I expected. The problem wasn't him, he really has become the worthy opponent I've always wanted. The mistake was on my end. I overdid it and put both Silvia and Blue Jr. in danger when they weren't involved in the fight. I only meant to show them that I'm not soft like they seem to think, but I ended up forgetting my honor.

On top of that, Almighty Leader felt the need to interrupt my fight right when I was about to finish it. I had him, and I would have won if he hadn't pulled me back! I wasn't endangering his precious prisoner at that point, either.

Speaking of which, I'm getting more and more suspicious that things aren't what they seem around here. I still don't know why we kidnapped Silvia in the first place, she managed to get into a room even Fire Leo and I aren't allowed into and it seems almost like Almighty Leader was protecting Joe from me. As usual, Sprocket seems to know everything while the rest of us are kept in the dark. Just what is going on? And who exactly is Sprocket that Almighty Leader puts so much faith in her?
superstylishsquid: (Is that supposed to impress me?)
Jadow is done for, and I say good riddance. With them out of the way, maybe I'll finally be able to get a proper rematch. Well...once I finish healing, anyway. I had to interfere to keep Fire Leo from killing Viewtiful Joe and I was injured badly in the process. Normally it wouldn't matter, but I lost a lot of my power, as well. I'm trapped in my human form, which means I'm not healing nearly as quickly as I should. I guess I should be grateful I'm not back to being a sword, but it's obvious I can't have my duel with Joe like this.
superstylishsquid: (Uh-huh interesting.)
Well, so much for it just being me and Viewtiful Joe. A new villainous organization popped up to take Jadow's place, calling itself Gedow. Obviously whoever comes up with these names is lacking in the creativity department. I don't know what they want, but whatever it is, I'm steering clear. I've decided I'm getting out of the villain biz, there's really no point to it now that I've found my rival. Not that I actually am soft or anything, but world domination and pointless acts of cruelty don't interest me any more now than they did two-thousand years ago. Besides, I really prefer to be my own boss, especially while I'm in the middle of trying to restore my power. I can't be running all over Movieland on someone else's whim when I have my own things to do, after all.

I caught up to Viewtiful Joe. I found him in a version of Oz that Gedow had tampered with and ended up having to save his, Silvia's and Blue Jr.'s lives. I bumped into Silvia at a fast food place, too. Luckily, she didn't recognize me. We haven't really talked since my last duel with Joe and I'm not sure how she'd react to me now. Aside from that, she's a superhero now, but apparently she's having some trouble adjusting to being part of the team. I went ahead and gave her some advice, though I'm not entirely sure why. I guess I just got used to it, trying to get Joe to become a worthwhile rival. Well, anyway, she seemed fine when I ran into them again, aside from being surrounded by Flatties. I went ahead and helped them out, although they should be embarrassed that they needed it.

Joe tried to invite me to have dinner with them, but I declined. I might not be a villain anymore, but we're still rivals. The idea of acting like his friend or teammate is just ridiculous.

Viewtiful Joe's lack of awareness continues to astound me. I had to rescue him yet again after he was completely fooled by shapeshifting aliens manipulated by Gedow. On top of that, I had to practically hold his hand and show him where his enemies were. And then he had the gall to accuse me of being nice just because I couldn't stand watching his idiotic fumbling! At least he managed it from there, although I did have to cut off Gedow's minion's escape.

I ran into Sprocket, too. She's joined Gedow, unsurprisingly, and I told her in no uncertain terms that I wouldn't be following her example. I remember what working under her was like in Jadow and there's no way I'm ever doing that again.
